Statement made on 18 November 2010 by Senator Wilfred Moore

Hon. Wilfred P. Moore:

Honourable senators, my question is for the Leader of the Government in the Senate. I have been watching the news with respect to the spreading of cholera in Haiti and into the Dominican Republic. I know that the people of Canada donated $200 million of their treasure to the people of Haiti, and the federal government promised to match that with $200 million. I am wondering how much of that $400 million has been delivered to Haiti and for what purpose has it been used.
