Senator Downe Addresses Concerns Over Insufficient Vetting Process for Citizenship Judge Appointments

Hon. Percy  Downe:

Honourable senators, I believe the minister misspoke. She indicated that all appointments have been vetted. I have read in the newspaper that people have been appointed to the citizenship judge position that were not vetted at all, and the chair of the commission has indicated that publicly.
