Honourable senators, there is an Aboriginal community in my province that is still waiting to hear whether their application for infrastructure funding under the stimulus program will be approved. The Lennox Island First Nation is attempting to improve woefully inadequate infrastructure in its community, particularly, by upgrading the roads.

Can the Leader of the Government in the Senate indicate why there has been no federal contribution to this project despite the fact that the provincial government has already approved $500,000 for it?
