Honourable senators, I have a question for the minister. I am interested to know, in a purely non-partisan way, as is my usual fashion, what positive spin the minister might put on the fact that there are now 800,000 people on Employment Insurance in Canada, which is an increase of over 63 per cent from last year.

Trachoma is a highly contagious and blinding disease that occurs in 57 countries and destroys the lives of 40 million people.
