“It’s a critical period in the evolution of caring for Canada’s veterans,” Senator Dallaire said, “and as a veteran, I am proud to be part of a process that searches for solutions.”

The subcommittee extends its gratitude and profound thanks to Senator Banks, the former chair, for his commitment, time, and leadership.

The other members of the subcommittee are Senators Fabian Manning (Newfoundland and Labrador), deputy chair, Lucie Pépin (Shawinegan - Quebec), Donald Neil Plett (Landmark – Manitoba), and Pamela Wallin (Saskatchewan).

The Standing Senate Committee on National Security and Defence created this subcommittee to examine issues of concern to veterans, members of the Canadian Forces, the RCMP and their families.
